The weather has been beautiful, and we have returned once again to our ‘Beautiful Cornwall’. Gillian, who was in our care for the week, has profound learning difficulties, and it is not easy to give her a holiday. But apart from a few set backs all has been well.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks with absolutely perfect weather, (sunny but not too hot). We loved Tintagel Castle – what a stunning setting! and Merlin’s Cave in the bay below. Visited Jamaica Inn at Bolventor – the Smuggler’s Museum is excellent and well worth a visit. From there walked to Dozmary Pool, where it’s suggested the Lady of the Lake took Excalibur. Went to the Eden Project but much preferred the Lost Gardens of Heligan – a really magical place with perfectly maintained Victorian gardens, living sculptures, beautiful woods & much more. ‘Lost Gardens’ very appropriate – even with the Sat-Nav it was tricky to find & there were very few sign posts. Some repairs and a few renovations need doing in the bungalow, but it was comfortable & clean otherwise, Pat & David Whitehead, Chepstow ! (13th – 20th Sept 2014 )

One minor issue (very minor) – lack of bins around the cottage eg bedrooms, especially with a baby! The bin in the bathroom very small, No other complaints, hopefully see you next year!
